Working for Davey Resource Group, a Division of the Davey Tree Expert Company, has allowed me to travel far and wide and meet great people. My job is to help communities and utilities, (and anyone else who cares!) manage their vegetation, for safety, health, and sustainability. Utilizing tools that include smart foresters, great software, and the latest in technology, we are able to help our clients "see the forest through the trees".
Industry involvement is something I value, along with learning about new things everyday. I am proud to say that I am the President of the Western Chapter of the International Society of Arboriculture (the biggest chapter!) and work with a great board of directors and an awesome staff to serve our members. I am currently involved with a project called "Invest from the Ground Up" which highlights the value of trees to communities.
Being outdoors, on my bicycle is my favored form of tension release; that and a good glass of wine. Travel is also something I really like to do; and when I do, i search for local restaurants, coffee houses, and out of the way places. When I am not traveling, I live the quiet life at home, reading, sewing, or watching Mad Men.
