As a physician at Heywood Hospital in Gardner, Massachusetts, Dr. Konstantino (Dan) Avradopoulos draws on nearly 30 years of experience in surgery and surgical oncology. He received his doctor of medicine as part of the six-year professional degree program at Northeastern Ohio University's College of Medicine. Dr. Dan Avradopoulos then went on to a surgical residency at Columbus, Ohio's Riverside Methodist Hospital, where he earned the title of chief resident for the class of 1993.
After completing his residency, Dr. Dan Avradopoulos relocated to New England for a fellowship in surgical oncology at Brown University College of Medicine and Roger Williams Medical Center. He continued to practice in Providence for four years before relocating to Worcester, Massachusetts, to become a surgical oncologist at Saint Vincent Hospital at Worcester Medical Center. The following year, Dr. Avradopoulos became the hospital's director of surgical oncology and gastrointestinal oncology.
Instrumental in establishing St. Vincent Hospital's breast cancer clinic, Dr. Dan Avradopoulos worked across disciplines as the clinic's director. He moved on in 2012 to become director of surgical oncology at Harrington Memorial Hospital and Harrington Physician Services, for which he also served on a number of administrative and patient care committees. He followed this role with international service as a surgeon with MRDC International in South Sudan, which he left shortly before accepting his current position.
