Dan Crump is Assistant Principal: Strategic Transition (Staff) at Mount Alvernia College, Brisbane, Australia. In this role he oversees the implementation and management of the College's Developing Performance Framework. In addition to this role he is Curriculum Leader: Culture & The Arts.

Dan holds a Master of Music Studies in Aural Methodolgy, a Bachelor of Music majoring in Voice, a Bachelor of Education and the Australian Certificate in Kodály Music Education. He is Course Leader of the Secondary 2 strand at the Cuskelly College of Music International Summer School lecturing in Aural Methodology, Musicianship & Choral Conducting.

Dan is the Immediate Past- President of the Kodály Music Education Institute of Australia (KMEIA) Queensland Branch (2009 - 2012), and in this role has overseen many initiatives in music education. In 2009, he was the recipient of a National Award for Excellence in Music Education for his development of the 'Year 8 Daily Music Program' an initiative that has been adopted by other leading Brisbane schools.

Dan has substantial experience as a lecturer and presenter. He participated in the International Kodály Institute Seminar in Budapest in December 2006, and has presented at the 2008 ISME World Conference in Bologna, 2009 IKS in Poland and 2010 ISME World Conference in Beijing. In 2011, he was invited to be key presenter at the Melbourne Music Autumn Seminar and also was Co-Director of the International Kodály Symposium at the Queensland Conservatorium of Music.

Most recently Dan presented on Middle School Music Education for KMEIA NSW and directed the Middle School Choir as part of the Queensland Young Conservatorium's State Honours Ensemble Program in Rockhampton.

Daniel has a sincere passion for both music education and staff development and performance.
