History Of Danbury, CT
Danbury City which is ranked as the second best city to live in the United States of America, is a Connecticut City in Fairfield County, within the New York combined statistical area and Bridgeport metropolitan area. It is home to the famous Danbury Fair Mall, and the Great State Fair which is one of the biggest shopping malls located in northeast.
The city was first settled in 1685 by European colonists, at the arrival of eight families who moved to the area which is now known as Norwalk and Stamford in Connecticut. Over the years, the city has developed into a major business hub in Connecticut, and the Danbury Chiropractic and Wellness is an association that has helped greatly with this. The area which is now known as Danbury, was formerly called Pahquioque by the Native Americans known as the Algonquian-speaking Pahquioque. This Native tribe lived on lands along the Still River.
Samuel Benedict was one of the original first settlers in the city, and in 1685, he bought a land from the Paquioque, as well as his brothers named James Benedict, James Beebe, and Judah Gregory. They named this area Paquiack which simply means "open plain" or "cleared land" in the Paquioque language. The area was renamed by settlers and called the Swampfield, in recognition of the wetlands. The name of the city was later changed to Danbury in October 1687, as the general court decreed its name to be Danbury.
They have helped in promoting local businesses in the area, and also helped in building strong business networks for businessmen in the area. A reliable member of this group is the famous Danbury Chiropractic and Wellness, known as the best Prenatal Chiropractor in the whole city.
