Dan Caporale is the Founder and Principal of Hearthstone Design Build — a Virginia-licensed Class A design-build firm specializing in timber frame homes, heavy-timber estate structures, and architectural outdoor living environments across Northern Virginia and the Piedmont.

A U.S. Marine Corps veteran and third-generation builder, Dan brings a disciplined, operator-first approach to every project — from initial land assessment through final construction. His work spans more than seven years of direct project experience across Virginia's most demanding agricultural and estate environments, with deep expertise in zoning, permitting, land use, and long-term property value creation.

Hearthstone's portfolio includes Lark Brewing Co. in Aldie, Virginia — a six-time Best of Loudoun 2025 award winner — Walsh Family Wine in Purcellville, winner of Best of Show at the 2026 Virginia Governor's Cup, Tuttaposto, a ground-up three-story timber frame bank barn estate on 40 acres of AR-2 land in Western Loudoun County, and Old Waterford Farm, a completed estate outdoor living environment featuring a 40-by-60 estate-grade pool.

Dan is also the founder of National Hire a Veteran Day, observed annually on July 25 — a national initiative connecting veteran talent with civilian employers across the country.
