FEU Dance Company: A Legacy of Excellence
The FEU Dance Company (FDC) is a premier collegiate dance group in the Philippines, excelling in various dance disciplines, national and international competitions, and cultural preservation. Established in 1957 as the FEU Folk Dance Group by National Artist Alejandro Roces, it debuted at the Philippine Folk Dance Festival. In 1959, it became the first Philippine university-based dance group to win in Europe, securing victory in Cáceres, Spain. The group extended its stay for a performance at Paris’ Sarah Bernhardt Theater and had an audience with Pope John XXIII.
FDC has consistently dominated dance competitions, earning numerous awards:
• Championships in events by ACTS Dance and Arts Academy, Lyceum of the Philippines, University of Makati, San Beda College, and Rizal Technological University.
