Allison Dancewicz
Amherst MA
Allison has been dancing since she was 3 years old. She has danced with the Donna Miceli Dance Center, North Shore Dance Academy, Lorraine Spada School of Dance, North Reading School of Ballet, and Wilmington Dance Academy where she also teaches tap.
Allison has performed many roles in many nutcrackers including the Albany Berkshire Ballet Nutcracker, Jose Mateo's Ballet Theatre Nutcracker, Tony Williams' Urban Nutcracker with BalletRox, and the Pioneer Valley Nutcracker. She has also trained at the Burklyn Ballet Theatre in Vermont, Green Street Studios, Jose Mateo Ballet Theatre, and Boston Ballet School.
Allison is a class of 2011 graduate of Wilmington High School with high honors, where she was the President of the National Honor Society and President of her Student Council. She was also a leader in the mentor program at WHS, a member of DECA and played violin with the Strings Attached Orchestra.
Allison is currently a student at UMASS Amherst where she is enrolled in the Commonwealth Honors College, Isenberg School of Management and the UMASS Dance Department.
At UMass, Allison is part of House Council, the Student Advisory Board for the Dance Department, Lead UMass and Alive with Dance. She feels that she has a natural talent for making people feel accepted and bringing them together. When it’s time to get down to business, she is reliable, focused and carries herself as a true leader, motivating others to stay on track and follow suit.
