Daniel M. Curtin, SPHR, MAOM - Biography

Dan Curtin, Principal and senior management consultant for HR Solutions for LA/OC (formerly Curtin Associates). has consulted for a wide variety of industries. He has over 35 years of human capital management experience and has built full service Human Resources functions from startups to organizations with up to 3000 employees. He focuses on providing proactive, professional, and efficient approaches to human resources management. Well-respected among the Southern California's human resources professionals, Mr. Curtin has published articles in various management publications, including one used in business graduate programs at several universities.

He holds an MA in Organizational Management degree and an MBA degree from Lewis University as well as a certificate in Leadership Studies from the Cornell University Labor Relations School. He won recognition in 1998 for "Excellence in Human Resources" from the Professionals in Human Resources Association (PIHRA) and is the organization's current Vice President of Emerging Affairs. He is on the Board (and past Secretary) of the PIHRA Foundation, a non-profit organization devoted to providing guidance for teenagers who are entering the job market for the first time.

He also is a lifelong member of the society of Human Resources and holds the accreditation of Senior Professional in Human Resources, SPHR from the Human Resources Accreditation Institute in Washington DC. Mr. Curtin has served at a strategic level at several organizations in his career, which has included Borg Warner Industrial Products, CSC Americas, a KLM airlines subsidiary, and Red Bull North America (wholesale and retail beverage). His consulting clients have varied, including attorneys, manufacturing, garment design & wholesaling, hospitality, technology, education and non-profit organizations.
