Gary Larkins

I'm a mongrel. I was born in England of mixed ancestry and a hefty slice of Indian/Portuguese thrown in for good measure. I've lived in every state and territory in Australia at one time or another, so it is hard to tell people where I am from but if you measure your origins by number of years in residence, then I guess I'm from the NT. I'm a mongrel. I've had so many different and diverse jobs that I am capable at much and skilled at little. I've worked as a DJ, bobcat operator, parole officer, kitchen hand, security guard, removalist. And now in my Meyers years, I am a public servant in Canberra, despite the many people who doubted I would be able to handle this role. I'm a mongrel. I like listening to music, all kinds of music, from rap to rock, anything except opera and classical (come on, really, or are we just being a pretentious?). I am a bit of an audiophile. I also love film, good television, and the occasional book. I want to write, I try to write, but most of my creations have retired by delete. Anyway enough about me...
