Dan Gillis

Guelph, Ontario

Dan Gillis is co-founder of the Farm To Fork project. In his daily life, Dan is also an Assistant Professor and Statistician in the School of Computer Science at the University of Guelph; a position sponsored by the Saugeen Ojibway First Nation. Dan’s studies span such topics as spatial temporal modelling, population level ecological risk assessment, and scenario analysis. He also dabbles in community engaged scholarship, software design, and long distance running. His most important contribution to date is known as the Gillis Law of Meetings: that is, meetings are vastly improved with beer.
