Hey, ya'll! Yes, I do say "Ya'll" and I pronounce Appalachia like Apple-at-ya. I'm a southern girl born and raised and I plan on keeping it that way.

Plenty of people have told me I have a lot of interesting things to say. With that being said, I figured I'd try out this whole blogging thing.

Know what I have a lot of? Goals. My main goal is to become a moderate to severe disabilities teacher. I'm currently a substitute teacher, working on my fourth year. I'm currently taking a break from college. *Gasp* Yeah, I said it. I'd prefer to work for a while then get back to the books. One thing I've learned in this crazy life is that it's okay to take some "me" time.

One question that I often get asked is, "Where do you see yourself in five years?" Being the sarcastic person that I am, I usually reply with, "I see myself married to the man of my dreams and having that cute little white picket fence in my front yard." This statement couldn't be further from the truth. I mean, if I find the man of my dreams then so be it--I'm not opposed, but the white picket fence? This southern girl has way better plans. I guess you'll just have to stick around to find out what my future has in store for me.
