“I am Daniel Parker, I speak for the trees.” From a very young age, I had a distinct fascination with the outdoors, especially regarding the peculiar organisms embedded in the ground. Oak, Birch, Spruce and all varieties of trees tall and short appealed to me for their unique attributes. However, best of all were those laden with sturdy braches, creating a playground well above the reach of wary individuals. As a resident of rural Georgia, trees actually made for surprisingly pleasant company; being both easy to come by and not overly opinionated, and many of my formative years were spent in their presence. With the passage of time, I began to branch-out as did my revered woodland companions, ambitiously reaching ever higher. Both Botany and Biology stemmed my interest in previously seeded ideas, resulting in the acquisition of my first job with a local tree company. Immersed in my element, I gained a better understanding of the needs of a sustainable environment; the only downside being my own aid in the destruction and removal of such essential plants. This lead me to the root of my passion, and the desire to help create a more environmentally friendly world, much like the efficient process through which trees sequester energy without exhausting any of their resources. Both in life and between branches, I aspire to climb ever higher and achieve many worthwhile goals, and trees have served as one of my greatest sources of inspiration.
