Daniel Aryee
Digital Communications Analyst and Youth Programs Coordinator in Ghana
Daniel is a graduate from the Ghana Communications Technology University with a BSc in Information Technology. He also possesses a certificate in Youth Development Studies from the Centre for Youth Development Studies in Lusaka, Zambia
Daniel previously served at the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) as a Digital Platform Consultant, supporting the organization’s Learning, Knowledge and Development Facility. In that role, Daniel facilitated the strategy, operationalization and analysis of the Digital platform used for their flagship event “The LKDF Forum”.
Before joining the United Nations, Daniel worked with the African Union Commission HQ in Addis- Ababa; where he served as a Digital Communications Associate at the Union’s Youth Development Division.
In that role, he supported communications and partnership efforts for major AU events like the Africa Youth Month celebrations, UNIDO and FAO’s joint agricultural program for Youth in Africa (OYA) and was the focal communications person for the African Union Youth Volunteer Corps Program.
Whilst at the African Union Commission, Daniel was also instrumental in the development of the Volunteer Standards Framework (A legal document which guides volunteer operations on the continent), leading the document’s branding, strategy and supporting its validation and visibility with the relevant Regional and Local stakeholders.
Within the confines of Policy Advocacy; Daniel has been heavily involved in the organization of physical and virtual-forums on the African Union’s flagship 1 million by 2021 initiative for African Youth and the African Continental Free Trade Area Agreement.
These initiatives have reached thousands of Youth in Africa and the Diaspora.
Daniel also convenes a yearly forum dubbed “Color Your Space”; an engagement platform dedicated to project African Continental policies and frameworks for dialogue and implementation amongst mainly youth stakeholders.
Currently, Daniel provides strategic support as a consultant, on varying Youth development initiatives and programs for high-level government officials in Africa
He also serves as a member on a youth engagement Committee of the African Union Commission, providing strategic advice on Youth development on the Continent.
