In my most recent role as the interim Chief Information Officer for a large 26-doctor orthopedic practice I expanded my knowledge base of HIPAA and HITECH and I made significant improvements to the technology environment through the development of the Information Technology strategic plan, the department's mission, vision and goals, development of technology policies for the practice and I crafted the technology disaster recovery plan.
I served 12 and a half years as the Director of Information Services for Kenosha Unified School District. The largest business in Kenosha, WI and the third largest school district in Wisconsin.
I was accountable for planning, budgeting, implementing and supporting the technology that serves over 23,000 students and 3,000 staff in more than 40 locations.
I led many major initiatives that contributed to improvement in overall student achievement and the transformation of the district. My most recent successes included the installation of the largest privately owned fiber infrastructure and the largest wireless infrastructure of educational institutions in the state of Wisconsin .
