Daniel Jurek

Dan's mission in life is inspired by the words of St. Francis of Assisi: "We have been called to heal wounds, to unite what has fallen apart and to bring home any who have lost their way."

Dan has built a unique and diversified clinical, ministerial and professional portfolio. He possesses experience as a pastoral counselor, certified spiritual director, professional counselor , marriage and family therapist. He has been a high school educator, counselor, administrator and campus minister. A collegiate campus minister and lay spiritual director as well as Associate Dean of Students and Director of Student Personnel for University of Louisiana, Lafayette.

Dan has led parish missions and directed retreats, days of recollection, seminars and workshops. He has spoken to youth, young (and not so young) adults, couples, small groups, priests, deacons and religious communities. He offers continuing education workshops and seminars to mental health professionals and lay leaders.

Dan and his wife Jane have been married for 31 years. They have 4 children and on grandson.

He earned a Master of Arts Degree in Marriage and Family Counseling from Our Lady of Holy Cross College, New Orleans, LA. He also earned a Master of Arts Degree in Christian Ministry and Renewal from Franciscan University, Steubenville, OH. His Bachelor of Arts Degree is in Theology, also from Franciscan University. Dan also holds a Certification in Spiritual Direction from the Archdiocese of New Orleans, LA.
