Daniel Lang

Hey there!

I'm Daniel Lang, the Instructional Coach at Vernon Middle School in Marion, Iowa.

In addition to my work in education, I'm also an avid reader (especially young adult), technology enthusiast, a writer, gamer, an occasional crocheter, LGBT advocate, and a variety of other things.

I taught 8th grade Literacy for three years at Vernon, but decided to pursue my current position because I wanted to make a bigger difference than I could in my classroom alone.

As an Instructional Coach, I work with teachers and students to improve student achievement, learning, and engagement. That ends up meaning a lot of things, but I much of my focus centers around student data, assessment, technology integration, and on collaboration between teachers. I also just try to help out and problem solve any way I can!

I'm originally from Cedar Rapids, work in Marion, and now live in North Liberty, IA with my three cats!
