I: Why do abundances in some marine populations fluctuate so dramatically in time and space?

II: What role do prey, resources, predation (including fisheries) and climate play in those changes?

III: How can such information inform responsible management of populations?

To conduct this research I utilize:

• Field and laboratory based research
• Observational and experimental methods
• Statistical models to describe patterns in population dynamics with application to management
• Mathematical models to describe and understand processes
