Daniel is a London-based drummer spending time on composing, teaching and playing. He is currently a member of the Mook Ensemble and has his own quartet. He has been gigging abroad and masters a wide spectrum of genres.

Enrolled on the musical foundation course in Holstebro in Denmark when he was 18, where his principal teacher was Jesper Bo Knudsen. Within a week he was playing with a band and played gigs in the local area. During his time at the music school he received the Bendix grant for showing great development and having a fine understanding of sound and musical touch when playing the drums.

Through Daniel's extensive learning he has had lessons with Alex Riel, Anders Mogensen, Espen Laub von Liljenskjold, Kresten Osgood, Andrew Bain, Ralph Salmins, Trevor Tomkins, Gene Claderazzo. Classical training with Michael Skinner, improvisation with Martin Hathaway, composition and arranging with Scott Stroman and jazz harmony with Malcolm Edmonstone and Morten Ramsboel.

He recently graduated from Trinity Laban Conservatoire, earning an MMus degree prior to which he graduated from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama obtaining a 1st class degree and also received the Maldé Jazz Prize for best final recital.
