Hello. Thanks for visiting. Here's a bit about.me:

I was part of a team who created and ran a social-change-focused viewer-sponsored TV station in Los Angeles, using television to connect people and to enable social advocacy;

I was the News & Public Affairs Director at an Albuquerque, New Mexico radio station, where I also hosted a weekly show of live music and experimental radio, pushing the medium to its limits;

I was the Exhibitions Coordinator for the San Francisco International Video Festival, where I worked with groundbreaking video artists;

I started directing music videos in the early days of MTV, and was part of a community of makers forging new paths in uncharted terrains;

I have 20 years of Camera Department experience in the LA film industry, working in a highly professional commercial environment.

I'm now a Senior Lecturer in Cinematography in the film programme at Unitec Institute of Technology in Auckland, New Zealand.

My research interests relate to the cataclysmic global shifts in both moving image and higher education, focusing on the evolving role of the moving image educator.

I hold a Masters in Creative Technologies from Auckland University of Technology, and I'm a PhD candidate, also at AUT. My thesis explores screen education and change.
