Daniela Gómez-Castro

Caracas, Venezuela

I am mainly a Spanish Teacher and a Writer but I actually studied Anthorpology and specialized in Lingüistics. I have been teaching since 2009 at the Instituto Cultural Brasil Venezuela in Caracas. I co-founded ÉCFRASIS revzine (www.ecfrasis.org), an independent project about Contemporary Latin American Photography. Right now I am working as a Spanish-English Translator for Blitz Coworking.

In 2008 I worked as the Director's Assistant for VenezuelaDemo (http://www.venezuelademo.com), a catalogue to promote independent venezuelan music, my main shores were to write the reviews for the musicians of the catalogue and assit in the production of events.

In 2009 I went to Barcelona for an exhange program between the Universidad Central de Venezuela and the Universitat de Barcelona, where I studied Anthropology focused in Art. Then I came back to Venezuela and worked as the owner's assistant of Pilates International Academy for a year, then traveled to Melbourne Australia to study English for Academic Purpuses and worked as a Spanish Teacher at El Patio Spanish School and a Barista for Stuzzichino Caffe.

I have been studying photography at the Organización Nelson Garrido (ONG) in Caracas but more than takin photos I write about them and its makers. This is actually my passion.

My native language is Spanish, I am advanced in English and itermediate in Portuguese.
