Hi there, I’m Daniela. I am currently working as a Technology Consultant for YRDSB and living in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

I majored in Psychology from York University and was very interested in Child Psychology. This led me to my next career choice, teaching! I graduated from Niagara University and have been working within the education field for the past 4 years.

I worked as a before and after school supervisor, specifically with students from JK to Grade 1. Working with these students provided me with experience and a love for teaching! I then switched gears and became a technology consultant, where I train students, with learning disabilities, on specific programs that will enhance their confidence and participation in the classroom. Assisting these students with new ways of writing and reading has provided me with new ways of teaching students. It has been a very rewarding experience so far.

Currently, I have been given an occasional supply teaching role and would love to learn more about Kindergarten prior to starting this new position. I have always been interested in learning more about Kindergarten and ways I can influence my professional practice further. In the near future, I do hope to teach this grade! I am very interested in play based learning and how technology can play a role in learning.

I am very eager to learn as much as I can. I have taken extra AQ's over the past few years, such as: Special Education Part 1, Math Part 1, Reading Part 1 and Family Studies, Intermediate.

I am hoping this course will provide me with new educational insight and resources for teaching Kindergarten. I can't wait to learn from everyone else and discuss various ways of teaching this program!
