Geographic Analyst, Sailor, and Volunteer in New York
Greetings everyone,
I am a geographer with experience using GIS and exploring spatial applications in Data Science. I finished my GIS professional Certification at Hunter College in Spring 2017.
I recently worked with the New York City Department of City Planning as a Geographic Analyst to support the Local Update of Census Addresses program. Our team prepared an updated file of NYC's residential addresses for the Census Bureau Master Address File for the 2020 Decennial Census.
I am now actively looking for new opportunities
In my free time I contribute to OpenStreetMap.org [username:daniel_solow], street imagery to Mapillary [username:daalso], wildlife photos to iNaturalist [username:daniel_solow], riding my bike, sailing by Eastchester Bay, Long Island Sound and Hempstead Bay and playing music on the piano
