Daniel G. Bray
Father, Teacher, and Leader in China
Currently, I am happily living and working in East Asia with a family of four. I moved to China in 2013 to work as an English teacher through a small organization called Northwest China Teachers. Since Jan. 2015, I have been serving as an NWCT City Leader in Xining, overseeing community growth and outreach for our team. Since 2015, I have also held the position of Treasurer for the NWCT Board of Directors. I am employed by a private English school in our city where I teach English to children grades 1-12. In July 2015, I was promoted to the position of Foreign Teacher Director, managing the work of our 15 international teachers.
Looking ahead, I am hoping to take the experience of shepherding our team here and my knowledge of cross-cultural outreach back to the church in America. I want to be a part of instructing believers in foundational biblical truths as well as planning and directing community engagement strategies. I also want American churches to be more connected with the efforts and struggles of their brothers and sisters around the world with the purpose of continuing global growth and fellowship.
My wife and I are also passionate about orphan care and believe that all kids need families. Please visit my wife's adoption advocacy blog - lilyprojectblog.wordpress.com - for more information.
