With more than 30 years’ experience in operational and technical aspects of broadcast engineering, Dan Crouch, has proven himself to be a versatile and adaptable professional. Based in Lincoln, Nebraska, Crouch currently leverages his skills to assist various companies as a consultant, providing training, operations and programming on broadcast equipment. Prior to this role, Dan Crouch worked as Service Engineer at Grass Valley USA, LLC, in Nevada City, California, for 13 years. He was responsible for on-site support for the company’s line of video products, including master control systems, cameras, and production switchers. Crouch also acted as liaison between customer service and other departments at the company, with a focus on resolving customer issues. At Grass Valley, Dan Crouch was named Customer Service Employee of the Year in 1998 and 2000. Dan Crouch also worked for ESPN, Inc., holding a variety of roles over the course of seven years. He served as Technical Operations Manager for the company’s start-up operations in Asia, where he was charged with construction, installation, staffing, and many other operational matters. Crouch also took on positions as Operations Manager and Remote Engineer-In-Charge at ESPN, and was part of four Emmys in Sports Production for his work. Prior to these roles, Crouch found employment at various television stations and broadcast facilities, including KWGN in Denver, WYES in New Orleans, Scene Three Inc. in Nashville, and NETV in Lincoln. Dan Crouch attended Cleveland Institute of Electronics and Southeast Community College, then began studying toward a degree in Broadcast Journalism from University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Crouch maintains membership in the Society of Broadcast Engineers, the Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers, and the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. Outside of his professional endeavors, Dan Crouch has been heavily involved with Special Olympics, managing a group of 50 volunteers during Special Olympics USA National Games in Lincoln. Crouch also volunteered for the Special Olympics’ National Invitational Golf and Softball Event in Lincoln.
