Daniele Zanni
Oulu
I am currently a Research Assistant at the University of Oulu, in northern Finland, where I have been living after moving from Italy in 2009. Here I have been part of the MediaTeam research group , helping to create the UBI Hotspots till 2011. Currently, my research interests lie now on Pervasive Gaming. I am designing and implementing a city-wide mixed-reality game using the 3D model of the city of Oulu as game set for the NIMO project. A mobile client for the game is being built with HTML5 and PhoneGap.
In my free time, I like to take pictures. I currently own a Nikon D7000 camera and I like to share my pictures with my friends. In collaboration with three other local photographers I take care of the OuluPhoto project, which collect our shots in the great Nordic atmosphere.
I am also one of the creators of PaneMerkille, a mobile app helping university students to find the coolest parties in town and get free patches for partying with their friends.
