Dr. Daniel Krivoy

For more than five years, Dr. Daniel Krivoy has provided his medical expertise to residents of the Los Angeles area. As both a California-licensed practitioner of medicine and a board certified ophthalmologist who specializes in glaucoma, his wide experience means that Dr. Daniel Krivoy can offer his patients a number of treatment options, including Trabectome and canaloplasty, that reduce pressure in the eye.

In addition to practicing ophthalmology, Dr. Daniel Krivoy works to influence the future of eye treatments. Since 2005, he has served as Chairman of the Scientific Advisory Board of Ophthalmotronics Co. LLC and Medipump Inc., companies that develop tools for treating glaucoma. Dr. Krivoy has presented numerous lectures on various topics in ophthalmology, particularly on the topic of glaucoma diagnosis and treatment methods. Since 1995, he has been a guest lecturer at gatherings for the Foundation Fighting Blindness, the Pan-American Association of Ophthalmology, the American Academy of Ophthalmology, and other organizations. Dr. Krivoy served as a moderator during a 2002 meeting of the Venezuelan Society of Ophthalmology, and served on an expert panel discussion for Slack Incorporated’s Ocular Surgery News.

Dr. Daniel Krivoy’s years of experience in ophthalmology have also assisted the educational community. Starting in 1987 when he was a Teaching Assistant in Biochemistry at Universidad Central de Venezuela, Dr. Krivoy has regularly held teaching jobs. In addition to holding an Assistant Professor position with New York Medical College’s Department of Ophthalmology, Dr. Krivoy is a Clinical Instructor in Ophthalmology for the University of California, Los Angeles.

When not serving in his regular medical or teaching roles, Dr. Daniel Krivoy volunteers with a number of organizations. He donates his time to the Venice Family Clinic, a medical outlet that provides free health care to more than 24,000 patients in need every year. Dr. Krivoy also gives his time to the UCLA-Jules Stein Eye Institute residents as a volunteer teacher.
