I am a dynamic international development professional with over 15 years of experience in the areas of youth participation, governance, ICT for development (ICT4D, ICT4Gov, M4D), local government and peacebuilding with the World Bank, UN agencies, NGOs and corporations worldwide. Among my recent activities, I consult for UN-HABITAT developing a policy framework and pilot program (Africa) on the intersection between ICTs, urban governance and youth. I am the lead author of a UN-HABITAT global study exploring how mobile technology can be used as a tool to enhance governance outcomes for young people in cities of the developing world. This work followed several consultancies with the World Bank where I managed youth-led development, municipal capacity building, governance and e-learning programs. It also builds on digital inclusion work in the telecom and wireless internet industry in Sub-Saharan Africa. I am a project manager at the Urban Age Institute and a lecturer at the Weitz Center for Development Studies. My experience also includes peacebuilding and development work in the Middle East and post-conflict regions, as well as marketing and business development for telecom and technology corporations. I am passionate about the power of technological innovation to advance social and economic development worldwide. As an independent consultant, I apply my knowledge, experience and energy to help organizations increase the impact of their programs, partnerships, communications and strategic development.
