Where ever the Air Force sends us.
My name is Danielle and my story has vastly changed since my last visit to this page. I began this page as a stay at home mother of two, married to a wonderful husband. While those details ring true once more, I have had a much different year.
I began seeking part-time employment last December to help pay for preschool. I applied to be a seasonal cashier at Target. As a recent college graduate with military experience I was offered the opportunity to apply as an Executive Team Leader! I couldn't believe it. What an amazing an opportunity. It felt amazing to think I could even be considered for such a position! I mean I had just graduated with a B.S. in psychology, and while I graduated Summa Cum Laude I never expected such an offer.
I proceeded through the interview process and was hired. A year later, to the date, I chose to leave it all behind. I have learned so much from my year with Target. I worked in 3 different stores, with 3 different teams and after only 4 months actually "in-role" at my own store, I found it time to make that life altering decision to move on.
I truly believe everything happens for a reason. Some opportunities come along simply to prepare you for something better. This job was not the correct fit for me or my family. However, I will remain positive simply because life's greatest achievements and advancements often come on the heels of "failure" or lessons learned the hard way.
