I played collegiate lacrosse, but running never became a part of me until recently. In 2012, I ran a 5k, a 10k, and 2 half marathons all the while training for a full marathon. The running bug consumed me and while trying to figure out what my 2013 New Year's Resolution would be, I thought, "Why not make a goal rather than a resolution?"

I decided to make my New Year's goal to run 1 race a month for 2013. The races do not have to be a certain distance, they just need to be organized. I hope you enjoy following my journey as I pound the pavement while training and on race day. I look forward to bringing you into my world and introducing you to my training partners and race day companions.
