As a communication major focusing in public relations with aminor in leadership studies, University of Maryland terp, Danielle Moore hasher eyes fixed on a career in strategic communication. Pursing PR combines herlove for fast-paced environments and culture with her interpersonalcommunication, writing and public speaking skills.

From a young age, the Washington-area native has been a peopleperson with a unique passion for fashion. Moore was reading recaps of New YorkFashion Week by the age of twelve and starting to sew and experiment withfashion design by the age of fourteen. Stemming from her interest in fashion,she has a knack for thinking creatively and spotting trends.

As public relations director of InTERPret PR (a pro-bono,student-run communication firm) and vice president of the National Council ofNegro Women on Maryland’s campus, Moore has the opportunity to implementcreative communication strategies within her extracurriculars. Her internshipat News Generation provided excellent writing experience in creating a weeklyblog series on PR industry trends. She also posted regularly to social media andpitched media contacts. At an event she attended with the News Generation team,the PRSA National Capital Chapter asked Moore to write a recap for publishingon their chapter blog and the Capital Communicator.

Professionally, Moore gets excited aboutconnecting the dots of ideas to bring together a big picture, then using publicrelations to communicate that vision to the world. Personally, she ispassionate about pop culture, good food, good fashion and good laughs. On aSunday afternoon you can find her finishing brunch or getting cozy with hot tea and catching up on blogs and reality television, then cracking open the schoolbooks. Looking forward to graduating in the spring of 2016, she is enthusedto get more PR work experience to prepare for her bright future.
