Daniel Paul Roberts

Daniel Paul Roberts began to have an interest in photography as a young dancer in New York City in the early 90’s. He would explore his new craft all across the landscape of the city on days off from dancing. His keen eye for movement offered him an entrée to the dance community and he was inspired after meeting famed dance photographer Rosalie O’Connor at Fire Island Dance Festival to include dance in his work. Daniel has photographed multiple Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS events such as Broadway Bares, The Gypsy of the Year Competition, Broadway Backwards, Easter Bonnet Competition as well as CHITA, a legendary celebration and Alan Cumming in Bucks County Cabaret. Daniel has photographed Dancers Responding to AIDS benefits - Fire Island Dance Festival, Dance from the Heart and Hudson Valley Dance Festival. His images have been published in NY Daily News, OUT Magazine online, New York Times and The Huffington Post.
