Daniel Promin
Artist, sculptor, and Painter in New York
Daniel Promin is an American-born artist and sculptor from New York.
Upon completing high school Promin entered the Great Art School in Brooklyn, where at the Technical School, the Department of Architecture, was studying Visual Arts for two year. He interrupted the studies due to a trip to Vienna, where in 1999 Promin enrolled at the Academy of Fine Arts. In the following year he moved to Munich and continued his studies at the Academy, attending the classes of prof. M. Widmann. In 2001 he moved to Paris where at Ecole des Beaux-Arts Graduated sculpture.
After completing his academic education, Daniel Promin returned to the United States as a teacher of painting in the First Rosara Gymnasium. Here he stayed for two years and then went back to Paris, where he stayed until 2008. Again he returned to New York where he became a professor and then director of the Arts and crafts school. The next year worked as a professor in Rhode Island School of Design and as an inspector of the Secretary building.
Promin is one of the founders of painting society Rada and is still its member. He is also a member of the art association Medullary and one of the founders of the Association of Fine Arts New Yorker.
He made his was first exhibition at the Paris Artist Show and the World Exhibition in Paris in 2009, then won the bronze medal. Promin also won a gold medal at the World Exhibition in 2012 in Paris. He exhibited for the first time in New York in 2013, and then often presented his works in his art saloon in Brooklyn.
As an sculptor, Daniel Promin belongs to the first generation of North American sculptors whose operation has a pioneering character. He did a large number of busts and sculptures, as well as medals, plaques. Among his most famous works are: Monument of Joseph Pettel (in University Park in Brooklyn); Monument to Prince Rostenyak in Paris; a monument to Unknown heroes in Pasadena; Man on the lookout in the Munich municipality; Donald Rist monument in Vienna; and many more.
