Daniel Saad

Teacher in Toronto

Hey everyone, I’m Daniel. I’m a teacher living in Markham.

My background is in physics and astronomy, and I've been a high school tutor since graduating from YorkU. I specialized in laser physics and astronomy, and I'm now a high school math teacher in the GTA. I've taught math at almost every academic level, and I find that mathematics can fill you with wonder if you just give it a chance!

I got my teaching degree at Tyndale University, and can teach J/I and I/S math, as well as I/S Physics. I'm currently working towards a certification for teaching P/J learners, and I'm excited to continue teaching.

Aside from being a big math fan, I have recently become a fan of reading, having accidentally built my own personal library. With nearly 200 books on my shelves, it's always nice to kick back from a long day and travel to all sorts of different worlds, all from the comfort of my own room. Some personal favourites of mine include the works of JRR Tolkien and hopping from DC to Marvel Comics. I used to be into sports as a diehard hockey fan, and I'm waiting for the day that the Leafs win the Stanley Cup. I mean come on, it can't be much longer now can it? …Right?

In terms of teaching, I guess my motto would be something like:

“Teaching helps us accomplish wonders.”
