Dan Brennan

When Dan was 10 years old, he saw John Starks dunk over Michael Jordan at Madison Square Garden and decided he wanted to play shooting guard for the Knicks. A few years later and only a few inches taller, he set his sights on spending every day either in a museum or playing music instead.

Dan's professional interests include digital asset management, embedded metadata, linked open data, and the semantic web. He holds an M.A. in Museum Professions from Seton Hall University, and is currently an Associate Digital Asset Management Specialist at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

As a guitarist, Dan has recorded and toured with the bands Mother Night, Torchbearer, Altered Boys, My Island, and Ensign. He is pretty firm in his belief that the Fender Telecaster is the coolest thing America has ever made.
