Daniel Witzel
Anaheim, California
Daniel was introduced to technology at a young age and can recall a time around the age of 5 when his father took him to work on a day off of school, and instead of playing video games, he wanted to play with Microsoft Excel spreadsheets and equations. In Jr. High school, he was formally trained as a “tech agent” to help other students with computer troubles, develop websites using Microsoft Front Page, and assist with the production of the live student news broadcast. Come 9th grade, Daniel was called to attend High Tech High North County, a revolutionary technology-based school that focused on teaching students using modern-day technology vs. textbooks. It was this high school experience that pointed him to technology as a future career. The single greatest skill in entrepreneurship is networking, and this was something that Daniel tackled without an issue. Throughout his High School career, he was ASB President of his school and led a team of students to plan many events requiring much interaction with outside vendors, venues, and advisers. Throughout High School, Daniel explored website creation through the use of websites like Weebly and design software like Dreamweaver, however, he never found all that he needed until he began working with WordPress to create custom sites for himself and friends. Through these experiences, Daniel learn the software first-hand and honed his skills. In his Junior year, Daniel secured an internship at an architecture firm as a marketing coordinator and designed an interactive brochure for residential clients looking to build custom homes. This is when Daniel’s technology skillset met his marketing skillset and he realized his passion. After the architecture firm, Daniel proceeded to work in marketing with a grassroots non-profit named SCHAP. He was introduced to Infusionsoft at a basic level and, because of his fast learning ability, was able to learn it with ease. Because of his ability with Infusionsoft and marketing knowledge through apprenticeship, Daniel was referred to a marketing company where he got his first part-time paid position in the marketing industry. From here, he proceeded to learn the tricks-of-the-trade by interacting with many new marketing programs such as SendOutCards and TrafficGeyser. After learning these programs, Daniel began working freelance to improve his skills and work the trade. Currently, Daniel lives in Southern California, works from home, and has a passion for working with Small Businesses to improve their marketing and increase their sales.
