Daniel A Wubah is the president of Millersville University, PA. He came to MU from Washington and Lee University.

Before W&L, he was the deputy provost and vice president for undergraduate education at Virginia Tech from 2009 to 2013. Prior to that, he was associate provost and professor of zoology at the University of Florida.

From 2000 to 2007, he was at James Madison University as professor of biology and associate dean of the College of Science and Mathematics and also served as special assistant to the president. He started his academic career in the Biology Department at Towson University in 1992.

He has a bachelor's degree in botany (with honors) and a diploma in science education from the University of Cape Coast, Ghana. He holds MS in biology from the University of Akron, OH and Ph.D. in microbiology and botany from the University of Georgia, GA.

He is a Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science and has testified before US Congress on how to prepare the science workforce of the future. He has published extensively in anaerobic microbiology and received grants from several federal and state agencies as well as private foundations. He was a trustee of the SACS Commission on Colleges and has served on several boards.

In private life, he is a tribal king in Ghana where he serves as Toapentenhene of Breman Asikuma traditional area. He and his wife Judith have two daughters and two grandchildren.
