Danisha L. Johnson is an aspiring gospel artist currently networking in the gospel industry to further spread the word of God. Danisha was born and raised in Compton, California. She is currently resident in the state of California. She is married to the professional musician/drummer George D. Johnson. They have been together for five years, and married for 3 years. They have two beautiful daughters MaKynzi and MaKayla Johnson, who are so dear and precious to them. They call them their M&Ms.; Danisha is a young dynamic black woman who was inspired at an early age to make music her life. Her singing aspirations really began at age four standing in front of the family or large crowds, putting on shows with any available microphone, reciting large forceful poems, singing a song, or playing an instrument. At age 10, she received her first taste of performing while ministering through song in a church. She was raised by her mother, grandmother and great grandmother, very strong women who greatly impacted her life. Growing up in a talented musical family meant that Danisha was always surrounded by different forms of music. Danisha expresses an unshakable and much-needed faith in the ways that love and life can lead one to Christ and being our best selves. She attends Zoe Christian Fellowship of Whittier and has been a member since June 2004. Although she is a novice to songwriting, she is quickly coming into her own with introspective themes of love, heartache, and trusting God. Along the way of her journey, God has allowed her to connect with her inner spirit to inspire contemplative music, a genre infused with soul and Contemporary Pop. The essence of God has aroused a passion for songs that will open doors in the music industry giving way to a new sound that will resonate with our new generation. When she began tapping into her own sensitivity, she started to understand people better. It was a direct result of writing songs. With a personal revelation about songwriting and performing, she reaches a multitude of people resulting in lives being changed. Through her life’s experiences, she has been led by God, to minister through song and through testimony as a witness of God’s goodness and existence. While growing up she was inspired by so many great musical artists from Yolanda Adams to Israel Houghton. She has love and respect for all music genres.
