When I was five my father asked me, "do you want to be an artist when you grow up?" and I replied, "I AM an artist!"
I call myself an artsy athlete, an artist on the field and in the studio. I express myself by decorating and surrounding myself with my creations. I've always had a love for colors, my room has always been my canvas.
People describe me as quirky. I am a New York pizza snob, and I will sneeze after I eat it. I hoard Chipotle napkins for such an event.
Screen printing is my favorite medium of art. I would like to someday have a backyard barn studio where I can get messy with ink. There's something about the tactileness that resonates with me. It's a nice break from living at your computer.
For my senior thesis I created a zine on the untold story of women's history, 1890-present. People swore my major was Arts and Crafts rather than Communication Design. The cut and paste style evolved into my most recent undertaking of vectoring. It's like a virtual collage. However, I'm not married to any one style, I dabble.
