Wonder is in us—you might say—a record of the way we were made. It is a well, which is completely full of all the things you will ever learn.

In wonder lays the source of all that we’ll ever learn or feel. Knowledge, which is derived from wonder, is unhappy unless it relates itself to other knowledge. And this relation of knowledge to knowledge is what you might call, a sense of order; a sense of the position of this knowledge in relation to other things around.

When we get a sense of order—not just knowledge or information—then we are very happy. We wink at wonder and say, “How am I doing, wonder?”

Because wonder is activated by this knowledge and better still, by this sense of order. And wonder becomes more reachable, more full of that of which we were made.
