Hey, I’m Dan. I’m a technical writer based in Ottawa, ON. After completing my English undergrad at Carleton, I worked a few meaningless jobs and decided to pursue a career in the music industry. I took the audio recording program at Algonquin and spent the next 5 years in the pro sound and lighting field as a live sound technician and project manager. In search of something more academic and closer to my BA roots, I enrolled in the Technical Writer program at Algonquin. I found my true calling as a technical writer, but my passion is UX and human-centric design. When I'm not writing, I still freelance as a sound tech, and play guitar in an indie art-rock band called Loon Choir. I love pretty much every sport under the sun and play in a few different leagues around the city. I am a HUGE dog lover and have an adorable schnoodle named Louis (pronounced Loo-is) who is arguably the cutest dog in the world. Sustainable energy and environmental impact are near and dear to my heart, as well as just being a decent human. Everyone should just be good humans!
