Daniel Maxey
Daniel Maxey, M.Ed. earned a Bachelor's degree in Government from The College of William and Mary in Virginia and a Master's degree in Higher and Postsecondary Education from Arizona State University. Before beginning graduate study, he worked in various policy analysis and political positions in Washington, D.C. for United Parcel Service, the Democratic Governors Association, and Stateside Associates.
Currently, Daniel is a Dean's Fellow in Urban Education Policy pursuing a Ph.D. in the University of Southern California's Rossier School of Education. He works in the Center for Higher Education Policy Analysis as a research assistant for Dr. Adrianna Kezar.
He is interested in bringing his experience in policy analysis and public affairs to research on issues related to the public roles and responsibilities of institutions of higher learning. Specifically, he intends to pursue research examining university governance, the nature of university/community partnerships, and reform movements within higher education.
