An honors graduate of California State University, Fresno, Dr. Daniel “Danny” Ashley holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Physical Science. As an undergraduate, he was named a Smittcamp Family Honors College President's Scholar and a Top Dog Scholar, and was awarded Honorary Member status in the Tri-Beta Biological Honor Society for his research contributions. He went on to complete Fresno State’s two-year Master of Public Administration program in just one year, graduating with distinction. In 2024, he earned his Doctor of Medicine (MD) from the University of Queensland – Ochsner Health Medical Program.

Now a residency physician at the University of Louisville (UofL Health), Dr. Ashley has held leadership roles such as vice president of community service for the Sigma Alpha Lambda fraternity, where he organized a March for Babies fundraiser benefiting the March of Dimes. From 2017 to 2018, he worked as a Certified Medical Scribe Specialist (CMSS) in the emergency department at Community Regional Medical Center, and participated in outreach efforts such as the Migrant Education Fair, providing health screenings to underserved communities. He earned his Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification in 2018. Outside of medicine, Danny enjoys outdoor activities including hiking and skiing.
