As of now I am studying at Georgia Tech to become an electrical engineer, and often people ask me why did I choose electrical engineering and this is what I tell them.

Growing up I've always had a penchant for electronics and I always seemed to be finding new and creative ways to use them. But this was never really where my love of electronics grew. My love grew from my very first computer. A computer all to myself that I didn't have to share. This was a computer I could use to go and learn new and wonderful things and I loved the freedom of being able to discover all of these things. That is until the day my computer decided to break.

This day was a traumatizing day and I will remember it forever. But me, I was a determined little child and I decided I wasn't going to let my computer breaking get the best of me. I was not going to give up. I was going to fix it! Using my father's computer I began to research information regarding common problems with that certain computer, I looked up ways to fix the computer, I read forum after forum searching and scouring for possibilities to fix my lovely computer. When I felt I had learned all that I needed to solve the problem I began my work, I attempted to fix the problem and after trying everything I thought to be the problem, I decided my work was done. The big reveal was ready. I had been waiting over two months for this moment. I was going to turn the computer back on.

But the computer did not feel the same way. The computer did not turn back on. It was broken and I did not fix it. That did not change anything though, I still knew it was my job to fix that computer and after more and more researching I finally managed to fix that computer after another couple of months and boy was I happy. I began to grow an ever increasing bond toward electronic items and their inner workings to the point where anyone in my family had any problems with any of their electronics, I was the guy to talk to. This grew from family to exteneded family and eventually to my friends too.

Fast forward eight years and I find myself applying to colleges with no other thought of major than electrical engineering. My love for electronic and their working had done nothing but grow. In between all this I have been on my school's robotics team, played ultimate frisbee, and joined many clubs. I now attend GTech still doing ultimate frisbee and living my dream doing what I love.
