Hixme founder Dan Peate serves as a board member and the chief marketing officer of the Agora Hills, California-based employee benefits brokerage. Experienced in insurance and benefits services, he previously held positions with Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. as a senior vice president of sales for Gallagher Benefit Services and the managing director of Gallagher Equity Advisors. Dan Peate earlier cultivated small- to middle-market accounts in diverse service lines as a former assistant vice president for Aon Consulting. During his tenure with Aon, he administered accounts for 14 separate clients that produced revenue of approximately $1.6 million.

Complementing his work with Hixme, Dan Peate is the managing director of Peate Ventures, a venture capital firm he founded, which invests in entertainment, technology, real estate, and health care companies. He serves on the board of directors for the portfolio companies CardiacDirect.com and Boom! Studios. Also actively engaged with local educational institutions, he sits on the La Reina High School and Middle School board of trustees, the St. Augustine Academy board of directors, and the Thomas Aquinas College board of regents.

Dan Peate earned a BA in philosophy from the University of Notre Dame. He completed internships with both the Reagan Presidential Foundation and the Midtown Educational Foundation.
