Daniel Schmied

My name Is Daniel Schmied, I am currently enrolled in the international business program at Algonquin College. I am in my last year of studies here and plan on attending university in Gold Coast Australia after graduation.

Alittle about myself...
Im from a small town located two hours north of Toronto called Lakefield. On my free time i enjoy playing team sports such as hockey, rugby and soccer, aswell as the sports and activities, snowboarding, wakeboarding, waksurfing, longboarding, atving and snowmobiling. Besides the sports, music has always played a major roll in my life. I began playing the drums when i was 7 years old and began music production when i was 17. I primarily make edm but have done some production and mastering on other genres of music such as rock and indie.

Alittle about my work life...
I began my first job working a art gallery just down the road from my house. From there on i have working in a broad array of different industries from food to watersports to biomed. I began working as ground maintenance for resorts from ages 12 to 16. From there i began washing dishes at a high end restaurant called the Riverhouse. Within two years i went from working at the bottom as a dishwasher, to becoming the sous chef with my name on the menu. From there i worked as a ski and wakeboard instructor for Beachwood resort and I have also worked in drilling and blasting at Stonescape quarry. During working at my other jobs, my second job was at Noble purification. Noble purification began as a grade 10 science project my friend and I did . The project was on how the water system affected a type of algae called euglena. From this project we learned the power and ability of algae, and created a euglena bio filtration system that is still currently in development.

My goal in life is to continue to learn, apply myself and work as hard as i can to reach my goals in both my studies and music production.
