The recipient of a bachelor’s degree in elementary education and master’s degree in educational leadership from Nova Southeastern University, Daniel “Dan” Snowberger began his career as a teacher at Lake County Public Schools in Tavares, Florida. He spent 3 years as a third and fifth grade model technology teacher, then joined Seminole County School District in an assistant principal capacity. Dan Snowberger spent 6 years with the district, including 3 years as principal at Winter Springs Elementary.

From there, Dan Snowberger served 2 years as vice president for development at The Learning Connection, a nonprofit company that conducted research to support charter schools in the US. Following this, he relocated to Castle Rock, Colorado, to serve as principal at Bear Canyon Elementary and concurrently work part-time as chief academic officer at Cornerstone Academy, Inc. He then worked in various leadership roles at Harrison School District Two from 2007 to 2012, helping implement the professional educator evaluation system and overseeing early childhood education and special education.

Daniel Snowberger has served as superintendent of schools at Durango School District 9-R since 2012. In this time, he has earned recognition from A+ Colorado for closing achievement gaps and improving graduation rates of student subgroups. He was also appointed by Governor Hickenlooper to serve as superintendent representative on the Governor's Educational Leadership Council.
