Daniel O'Neill

Daniel "Dan The Gun" O'Neill. Working with AA roadwatch. Daniel or Dan as he is affectionately known by his friends and colleagues hails from Killarney, Co. Kerry and is the youngest member of the Roadwatch team. Daniel can be heard broadcasting on RTE Lyric fm, on RTE 2fm and occasionally on RTE Radio One. Daniel cut his teeth in the media industry as a freelance sports journalist working with Clare FM, i Radio and most recently he was a researcher on the RTE Radio One Sports show “Take Your Point”. Prior to this, he studied Radio Production and Broadcasting with City and Guilds in Radio Kerry. Daniel is sports mad and loves all sports but in particular soccer and football, a diehard Arsenal supporter since the age of four and more importantly an eternal supporter of The Kingdom. A graduate of University College Cork with an honours degree in Irish and History, he enjoys watching and attending all sporting events, socialising with friends and travelling abroad when possible.
