Hire me

I am Danton Thompson, the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard Program Administrator for the Washington State Department of Health. If I can consistently say all of that in one breath, then you can do anything you set your mind to. I’ve been passionate about technology since upgrading our personal home computer from Windows 2000 to Windows Millennium Edition when I was ten years old. Using my prior background in education, during my time in the United States Army, I trained dozens of young soldiers on protocols and procedures to efficiently and effectively deploy over $250,000 worth of networking equipment from the DMZ in South Korea to one of the coldest places on Earth, Dead Horse, Alaska.

When I'm not creating Frankenstein's monsters of operating systems, I enjoy dabbling a bit in the arts. I am an avid musician who plays guitar, keyboard and drums, sometimes even while not connected to Rock Band on Playstation 3. I'm also strangely good at linking actors together by their movies. I am a proud pet father to a 15-year-old Chihuahua that thinks it's a baby cat, and an eight-year-old cat that knows it's the boss of the house.

I've spent the last two years working for state government and I am ready to branch out to the next skill tree. I am extremely passionate about future positions as a Network Systems Administrator and I want to share my skills and learn more.
