Danu Innasithamby

A veteran in media, Danu joined the industry at the age of 16 and is currently at the helm of one of the most successful media networks in the Island. While fulfilling his duties as the head of LITE FM, he is also the radio station’s flagship morning show host.He has under his belt some of the most highly rated English Language television talk shows in sri lanka: Café Colombo, which he both hosted and produced and currently Hosting and Producing Buzz with Danu for Hi TV . He also hosted the pioneer English television music request show planet pulse. Being one of the only tri-lingual media personalities in the country, Danu was also the host of a Tamil language interactive LIVE television show that was very well received and garnered an immense following especially in the North and East of the country.A triple threat that can sing, act and compere, he is a much loved thespian having contributed his versatile skills to many famed stage dramas in Colombo.Danu is a firm believer in talent and hard work, and thus it is one of his life goals to train and coach the next generation so they can reach their full potential in an ever expanding global platform. To this end he is a prolific motivational speaker. He is a frequent guest speaker at training camps and corporate events. He also speaks on reconciliation and peace building and has been invited to many all island youth camps where his tri-lingual skills have ensured that his message reaches all audiences.A firm believer in being a responsible corporate citizen, Danu initiated the (DIF)Danu Innasithamby Foundation, that works for the betterment of the lives of children with Cancer. The foundation also works for youth, in the capacity of talent scouting and training of promising young artists, athletes, innovators and entrepreneurs.He is the only media personality in the country to have successfully conquered Radio, TV and print media.
