As a seventeen year old teenager, I have goals of becoming a Plastic Surgeon. It will take a great deal of work and dedication, knowing that it is a long career, but once I set something on my mind nothing can stop me from chasing my goal. People usually think of surgeons as doctors who work on breasts, gluts and noses, but my field will be a little more personal; I want to work mainly in facial reconstruction; Removing tumors, helping burn victims, etc. Lucky me, I have numerous strong characteristics that comply with my dream job. I have a pretty steady hand, and of course that comes in handy during surgery. I also have the stomach that not everyone has. I can work with needles and blood. And what I consider to be one of the most important skills is leadership. I’ve been in many situations where I have brought my team forward after going through stressful situations. And as a surgeon I need to be able to communicate with my team to ensure no error occurs. With my determination and passion for medicine and the urge to help others I will become a plastic surgeon. The journey may be everlasting and stressful at times ,but I’m willing to take on the ride!
